COACHING FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN

You keep moving. But you're not sure where you're going anymore.

You’re capable. Ambitious. You crossed borders, became a mother, started over — sometimes all at once. This is where it changes.

Sound familiar?

New country. New culture. New language. But that's not all.

Far from home, you’re going through a bigger transition. A new job, or contemplating the idea of one. A baby on the way, or a newly discovered motherhood. Making friends who speak English, but many of them are already leaving. Trying to learn Dutch to widen your social circle. Navigating a new culture, while trying to figure out who you are now.

Maybe it’s one or several of these. Maybe there are more of them. What they all have in common: you’re in transition, and you’re ready for more clarity. This is where it starts.

Your coach

Hi, I'm Melissa.

I'm a certified coach, former Corporate Director, expat, and mother of two. I've moved countries, changed careers, and rebuilt my sense of self, sometimes all at once. I know what it feels like to keep moving while quietly wondering where you're actually going. That experience is exactly why I became a coach. I work with international women who are ready for more clarity, not more advice. My approach is warm, direct, and grounded in real life. No clichés. No hollow promises. Just honest, structured coaching that helps you figure out what's next, and how to get there.

Who I work with

You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to be ready to start.

The expat

You relocated and built a new life, but along the way, you lost the thread of who you are in it. You want to feel grounded again.

The woman in transition

A new job, a new baby, a new country, or all of it at once. You're navigating change and ready to move forward with more clarity and intention.

The one who has it all

Your life looks good from the outside. But inside, something feels off. You're not sure what you want anymore, just that it's not quite this.

How it works

Four steps. Your pace. Your journey. Your life.

Every coaching journey with me follows the same four-step framework, designed to take you from where you are now to where you want to be, at a pace that works for you.

Next Version Method™

1. Who You Are Today

Honest clarity about where you stand right now.

2. Your Goal, Your Why

What you actually want and why it matters to you.

3. What's Holding You Back

Name the obstacles and dismantle them. Together we find the tools, shifts, and solutions that move you forward.

4. Your Plan, Your Pace

Your plan, your pace. A concrete action plan that fits your life and timeline.

Frequent questions

Coaching is a structured, forward-focused conversation. It’s not advice-giving, and it’s not me telling you what to do. It’s a process that helps you get clear on what you want, understand what’s getting in the way, and build a realistic plan to move forward.

As your coach, I ask the questions that help you think differently. I challenge the assumptions you’ve stopped noticing. And I hold you accountable to what you said mattered to you.

It’s practical. It’s personal. And it works best when you’re ready to be honest with yourself.

No. Coaching and therapy are different things. Therapy typically explores the past to understand why you feel the way you do. Coaching starts from where you are now and focuses on where you want to go. If you’re dealing with clinical mental health concerns, a therapist is the right support. If you’re ready to move forward and want structure, clarity, and someone in your corner, that’s coaching.

If your life is broadly functioning but something feels stuck, unclear, or off, coaching is often exactly the right fit. You don’t need to be in crisis to ask for support. You just need to be ready to do the work. Coaching is for women who are capable and motivated, but who want to move forward with more intention and less noise in their heads.

Not at all. Most of my clients come to me precisely because they don’t know what they want, or they have a vague sense of it but can’t quite name it. Figuring that out together is part of the process. You just need to be ready to start.

A good friend listens. A coach listens differently, and then asks the questions your friends won’t, challenges the assumptions you haven’t noticed, and keeps you accountable to what you said you wanted. There’s no history between us, no social dynamic to manage. Just honest, focused attention on you and what’s next.

Sessions take place in person in Utrecht. If distance or scheduling makes that tricky, we can also meet via video call. The work is just as effective either way. Mention your preference when you book your intro call and we’ll find what works.

Sessions are in English. I also speak French and Dutch, so if you’re more comfortable mixing languages during our conversation, that’s absolutely fine.

That’s exactly what the free intro call is for. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re navigating, and what kind of support would actually help. There’s no pressure to decide anything on the call, it’s just a conversation. If it feels like a fit, we’ll find the right starting point together.

That feeling is more common than you think and it’s usually a sign that something needs to shift, not that you should wait. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Book a free intro call and we’ll work out together whether now is the right time.
